OUR SCIENCE

A combination of extracts from two Amazonian plants results in a neuromodulatory prescription botanical medicine with therapeutic potential for depression, substance abuse, and other unmet medical needs.

Our phytotherapeutic development based on Banisteriopsis caapi (jagube) and Psychotria viridis (chacrona), present in traditional Ayahuasca medicine, is characterized by presenting mild and transient psychoactive effects, developed under strict scientific and regulatory standards

The harmines present in the preparation give the herbal medicine a neuromodulatory effect with therapeutic potential for several other diseases. A growing number of scientific studies and clinical trials present ample evidence of the benefits associated with the alkaloids present in this formulation, which range from stimulating neurogenesis with potential treatment for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, to remission of depressive cases with a single dose. This table from the study “Ayahuasca's therapeutic potential: What we know–and what not” summarizes:

We are currently optimizing the plant extraction process to increase alkaloid yield, while ensuring chemical stability and regulatory compliance — in partnership with institutions such as the SENAI Green Chemistry Institute.
