ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Jagube and chacrona are native plants of the Amazon rainforest and have adapted well to the Atlantic Forest biomes, protected by the shade of surrounding trees. By ensuring the sustainability of agroforestry, we also pay full respect to the plants considered sacred by the ethnic groups that are guardians of this ancient knowledge.
Committed to environmental preservation, Ayamed launched an agroforestry consortium in the municipality of Bauru, São Paulo, with a seedling nursery and biodiversity expansion in areas previously dedicated to sugarcane and livestock farming. Aware of deforestation and climate change, we aim to help restore ecosystem functions by increasing biodiversity in areas increasingly rich in habitats. We also aim to protect genetic and cultural diversity, while generating shared value through partnerships with Indigenous communities.
While plants heal people, forests help restore our planet. Our agroforestry model unites ancestral knowledge, sustainable agriculture, and biotechnological innovation.
